You are the wind, you are unbound
Gently kiss my tresses with your breeze
Show me not the rage when you are the hurricane
I will be blown away, oh, what a shame!
You can’t be held I know
In the fist of my arm,
You are the wind
Well, I can’t but hope and dream
So you are the oxygen that I breathe in
You are the sea , you are vast
Tickle my toes with your tender waves
I don’t stand a chance if you pull me in
I know not to swim, oh, what a shame!
You can’t be held I know
In my tiny little palm,
You are the sea
Well I can’t but hope and dream
So you reside in every cell that is within
You are the fire, you are relentless
Warm me, caress me with your radiance
And when you flare up with all your ferocity
I will be singed and charred, oh, what a shame!
You can’t be held, I know
Inside my frail and pale fingers,
You are the fire
Well, I can’t but hope and dream
And hence, you are the glow that warms my bosom

Hey Sis,
This poem of yours is one of the best poems of yours I would say. Very well said and written! Specially the ‘what a shame’ part. I loved it. It well highlights the comparison between us mortals, humans and nature, the almighty. We are absolutely nothing at all in comparison to nature, yet we always try to take a control over it and try to make things difficult for ourselves and the future generations to come.
Regards,
Suma
